California recently adopted a legislative support scheme that established in each county Local Child Support Agencies (LCSA). In Los Angeles that agency is called the Los Angeles Department of Child Support Services (LACDCSS). This agency is approved to go to court to establish temporary and permanent support and to enforce support orders by forcing obligors to obtain a job, seize wages by wage garnishment, seize tax refunds, sell real and personal property such as motorcycles, cars, etc. I have had a great deal of experience in defending child support cases involving out-of-state payors. Divorce Divorce can involve a lot of things that we don’t plan for when we get married. Property division, assets, debts, custody, support payments, these are just a few of them.
